so what do you all think about the NCAA ruling on racist mascots? Pretty cool. I mean, it doesn't do much- you can't wear your mascot image or name on a uniform during any championship or host a championship if you have any insignia at all in your facilities (starting 2006 fall), and your band/cheerleaders/dancers can't either starting from 2008. The press release also commended Iowa and Wisconsin for refusing to play schools with racist mascots (except those in their league- AHEM Illinois). Schools can keep their mascots, but they're encouraged to, well, basically wake up and smell the 21st century.
On a personal front, it's cooled off in MN. I am thinking that I might be able to visit Chicago next weekend (possibly?). Does this work, Ms Kathy?
Evidently, MN ranks 4th in the country on money spend in lobbying, with about the worst disclosure laws. Booo...
